About SettleScore
SettleScore brings firm-published New York injury verdicts and settlements together with source links. Learn how comparisons work, why payment cannot change them, and how to request corrections.
Choosing a personal injury lawyer in New York usually means trusting whoever advertises hardest. Firms describe themselves in their own words, directories sell placement, and the number that matters most — what a firm has actually recovered for people in your situation — sits scattered across hundreds of separate websites. SettleScore puts that number in one place.
We collect the verdicts and settlements that New York personal injury firms publish about their own cases, record the amount, the case type and the year when reported, and cite the source behind every figure. From that record we compare firms using eligible published recoveries, market by market and case type by case type, in broad outcome bands rather than numbered positions. Every number traces back to a publicly available source, so you can check what the firm reported yourself. Ranking is not for sale
Law firms can claim their profile and request corrections whether or not they subscribe. A subscription can add detail about their practice and let them receive case details from people who choose to send them. It does not buy a higher outcome band, move a competitor down, or exclude an otherwise eligible result. Comparisons come from eligible published recovery data and nothing else; firms that have never paid us anything can appear in a higher band than firms that have. Firm-written content is reviewed before publication and labeled by source.
Who is behind SettleScore
SettleScore is published by SettleScore LLC, an independent company based in Brooklyn, New York. Its founder, Nico Steele, is an attorney admitted to practice in New York. He formerly practiced at Latham & Watkins LLP and Skadden Arps. He built SettleScore after seeing how much of what clients need to know never reaches them in a usable form. SettleScore is not a law firm, does not practice personal injury law, and takes no part in any case.

Prior results do not guarantee or predict the outcome of any future case, and every claim turns on its own facts.
